    Does the opportunity to travel and work on projects outside in the field motivate you?

    As our new Survey Assistant , based in Dryden or Thunder Bay, ON you must be passionate about spending time in the field.

    Whether you have a technical background or love exploring every nook and cranny of our great outdoors, you should havean unquenchable thirst for seeing and doing it all

    You will have a strong handle on equipment and field tools, with a healthy respect for the outdoors and the timeline ofthe task at hand.

    The successful candidate does not need to be located in Dryden or Thunder Bay, but anywhere in ON with the willingness and ability to travel to job sites in North Western Ontario
    Arrive at work on time and prepared for the task and shift assigned by your leader.

    Assist with various tasks including but not limited to organization and housekeeping of tools, equipment and materials at project sites, office and in crew vehicles.

    Assist the Crew Chief in achieving project timelines and deliverables.
    Complete mandatory safety training and practice competent operation of all equipment and tasks.
    Adhere to the safety requirements of the client, OH&S and the GeoVerra Safety program on all projects.

    Actively participate in Emergency Response Planning, Hazard Assessment, Job Safety Analysis development, daily tailgate meetings and comply with all safety requirements.

    Diploma or Degree in Geomatics Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related discipline preferred not required.
    Previous experience in Surveying or other related types of work involving the outdoors.

    Ability and willingness to travel regularly for the client, project, and GeoVerra requirements and to respond to situations that occur outside traditional working hours.

    An understanding of survey methodologies is considered an asset.
    A valid Class 5 driver's license and can provide a clean driver's abstract.
    Completed training and valid tickets in First Aid, H2S and CSTS safety training, is an asset.
    Out of town work (possible shift work) and frequent travel required.
