We are looking for an
Administrative Assistant to join the Mine Maintenance Dept.

to provide a range of support services including document preparation, data entry, customer service, payroll, scheduling of workforce, training records, and other related duties.

Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Operations, and working Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

, you will:

Work safely in accordance with Rio Tinto safety standards actively engaging in safety initiatives and promoting our "Zero harm" safety culture
Perform data entry to ensure accurate information is promptly captured in appropriate information systems
Accurately maintain manpower overtime and records
Provide payroll and administrative support for supervisors
Establish and maintain office filing systems, files and records, assemble information upon request, direct other employees in file maintenance procedures

What you'll bring

Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration
Ability to work cooperatively and productively with others to achieve results
Effective organization and prioritization skills
Good time management skills
Excellent written and verbal skills
Experience with workforce scheduling, in a unionized environment, is an asset

We are a leading North American producer and exporter of premium iron ore pellets and high-grade concentrate with average iron grades greater than 66%.
