  • KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Influences program leaders to maximize employee contribution, advance business priorities, and enhance the organizational culture and overall engagement.
Supports the development and execution of people strategies and the NH strategic plan. Works closely with program leadership to understand their business drivers, enablers and partner on design of integrated people solutions created to support their business objectives and people requirements.
  • Analyzes Health Human Resources across the program to identify areas of greatest need through intervention.
  • Advises and develops strategies on succession planning, career planning, staff development and learning and attraction/redeployment to ensure the client has the necessary talent in place for current and future needs.
  • Consults with Leaders in the development of performance coaching and development programs, advising on a range of human resources issues and solutions, aligning staff to business objectives, conducting team facilitation sessions and advising on returntowork programs to ensure the client has successfully performing teams and staff. Provides leadership, advice and guidance on business planning & organizational issues in support of strategic and operational objectives and people management strategies.
  • Leads client based strategic HR projects (or the HR portion of a larger operational project) that are complex and/or multifaceted in nature.
  • Facilitates succession planning initiatives for client groups, in partnership with OD.

    • Provides HR leadership in Client Group organizational change.
    • Provides support and technical expertise to facilitate the integration of HR programs and services (15% of time).
    • Provides insights to the HR specialist areas on the unique needs of client business, work cultures, and operational opportunities/risks in order to support the development, launch, and ongoing maintenance of key HR programs.
    • Advocates on behalf of the clients and on behalf of HR to facilitate consistency in practice, sound solutions, and a high degree of collaboration between HR and business partners.
    • Consults with competency areas for relevant implications of Organizational Design work (e.g. Total Rewards for Compensation/Cost impacts), ensuring all relevant HR competency areas are updated on issues that may impact their teams.
    • Provides research and metrics analysis, presentation and recommendations.
    • Interprets, evaluates, and diagnoses effectiveness and efficiencies, using client group people metrics.
    • Presents client people metrics, themes, recommended actions and interventions with leadership teams.
    • Supports longterm HR strategic planning efforts with clients, using metrics.
    • Recommends the introduction of new metrics as required.
    • Performs adhoc analysis to support client's business and HR program delivery.
    • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Completion of a postsecondary program specializing in Human Resources or Business Administration required.
    • Additional certifications or diplomas in Human Resource Management is required.
    • Professional certification in Human Resources, such as the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) or equivalent is preferred.
    • A minimum of 7 years of broad experience in Human Resources within multiple functional HR areas.
    • Work experience in a multiunionized setting preferred.
    • Project management experience and creating project plans.
    • Demonstrated competence in the following: solutions orientation, performance management and coaching, cultural development and sustainment, influence potential, data literacy and employee engagement strategies.
    • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
    Excellent written communication and presentation, skills, with a focus on quality.
    Demonstrated ability to handle a large and diversified workload with often rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines.

    • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, judgment and decisionmaking skills.
    • Flexible, selfdirected, and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
    • Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to the purpose, vision and values of NH.
    • Consistent and regular attendance required.
    • Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset.
    • Vaccines (COVID19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
