New Year, New Career Our growing team is looking for a Regional Supervisor to join our team in Oshawa, Ontario The Regional Supervisor's office will be located in Oshawa, however regular travel to Cobourg, Courtice, and the surrounding area will be required.

Reporting to the Western Regional Manager, the Regional Supervisor is responsible for supporting the day to day operations of the Western region and driving the overall goals and objectives of our customer service team.

Duties:

Support the Regional Manager with building and leading a highly engaged Customer Service team
Work with the Regional Manager to develop goals and strategies on an individual and team level
Responsible for managing, coaching and developing the team through one on one meetings and performance reviews
Running weekly suspense reports and reassigning suspenses for team members when required
Conducting weekly review on the status of renewals and encouraging the team to maintain levels of at least 45 day prior
Working alongside the Regional Manager to ensure procedures and workflows are being followed
Maintaining the team calendar and act as the first point of contact for staff requesting vacation time
Ensuring that there is sufficient service staff coverage at all branches during vacations, training and webinars
Escalating employee or client issues to the Regional Manager when necessary
Ensuring there is sufficient reception coverage for each branch and creating a schedule for coverage when necessary
Collaborating with the Regional Manager on team meetings and provide feedback on items that can be discussed with the team
Providing support and mentorship to team members
Working with the Regional Manager to improve overall staff engagement and morale
Participate in the new hire recruitment and onboarding process
Assist in preparing and monitoring all branch level operating and expense budgets
Supporting the Regional Manager with facility maintenance
Required to travel regularly within the region

Qualifications:

Leadership and management experience (in insurance is considered an asset)
Strong track record of leading highly engaged teams across multiple locations
Understand the needs of the customer (internal and external)
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Strong team player and collaborator
College or university degree in related area or commensurate work experience
Insurance Designations are considered an asset (CAIB, CIP, FCIP, etc.)
