We are currently looking for a Bilingual Translation Administrative Assistant to join the teamDESCRIPTION
The Bilingual Translation Administrator's main function is to provide a high level of administrative support in bridging the language gap between our Ontario and Quebec offices.
The incumbent will support the Regional HSE Supervisor in translating documents, transcribing verbal communications, and will liaise with internal staff members at the national level to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations.
This role is reporting to Toronto. Work location will be in Montreal office.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Translate HSE documents including safety forms, policies, manuals, procedures, newsletters, and presentations.
- Participate in meetings (project, departmental, and/or companywide) to bridge the communication gap and transcribe conversations as needed.
- Assist with the content and delivery of national HSE and JHSC meetings.
- Travel to Quebec office from time to time to liaise between stakeholders on a national level.
- Coordinate between Quebec and Ontario to update HSE files, systems, and data.
- Coordinate with national vendors and suppliers on behalf of the HSE team. Assist with the implementation of HSE digital software at the national level.
- Provide administrative support to other teams for English/French translation.
- Basic administration support to 2 members of the management team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Fully bilingual (written and verbal) in English and French.
- 2+ years of experience in administrative/clerical experience.
- Ability to travel from Ontario to Quebec as needed.
- Proficiency with MS Office software.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good presentation/communication skills. Comfortable with public speaking.
- Strong ability to work successfully in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure within a dynamic environment.
