    Laboratory Technician (Full-time)

    Food Allergen/Physical Testing

    As a Laboratory Technician, your main responsibilities are to:

    Perform extraction and sample analysis for specific allergens in food products by ELISA. Physical testing (Moisture, pH, Water Activity, Density) of food products. Some duties include:

  • Extracting Samples for ELISA analysis
  • Analyzing samples using ELISA techniques and kits
  • Extraction and analysis for pH, Karl Fisher Moisture. Density and Water Activity testing
  • Performing all duties in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Reviewing LIMS summary reports to plan and prioritize workload
  • Identifying and communicating non-conformances to supervisor
  • Participating in improving SOPs and general work instructions
  • Supporting method development and R&D initiatives within Allergen group
  • Other duties as assigned
  • You are the ideal Laboratory Technician, if:

  • You possess a post-secondary education and/or equivalent related work experience in analytical laboratory
  • Experience with ELISA tests/Karl Fisher Moisture/Density or Water Activity would be an asset
  • You possess analytical problem solving skills and excellent documentation skills
  • You have the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments
  • You are detail-oriented
  • You have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • You have excellent interpersonal skill
  • You are dynamic, energetic, motivated, positive outlook, and a "can-do" attitude
  • May be required to work afternoon shifts and weekends, as per the business needs
