Position Summary


The Accounts Payable Manager provides supervisory, administrative and financial services support ensuring an effective, accurate, accounts payable function and team is achieved.

This includes monitoring of payments, processing them and the company's expenditures, supervising the team, and ensuring correct and effective guidance of the Accounts Payable function at EPLS.

The accounts payable manager performs these duties in an efficient and effective manner to make sure that the figures are updated and accurate, employees are paid correctly on time and the suppliers are paid according to the agreed-upon terms and conditions.


The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for exercising a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism while building relationships and working closely with key roles throughout all levels of the company.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Effective management of all activities within accounts payable of the company, including reviewing and problem solving of discrepancies
  • Setting and facilitation the achievement of department objectives in line with the finance department objectives
  • Ensuring accuracy of transactions entered by team and handling the accounts payable close function in a timely and efficient manner. This includes review of accounts payable reconciliations and performance of reconciliations.
  • Training, motivating and evaluating accounts payable staff members and overseeing departmental activities to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time
  • Coordinate and set up processes; including researching technical accounts payable issues
  • Ensure timely payments of vendor invoice and expense reports and resolution of payment and billing issues with vendors
  • Ensuring timely payment of government remittances
  • Provide administrative support to ensure effective and efficient finance department operations
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary education in a related field is an asset
  • Previous experience in finance and accounting function along with previous supervisory experience is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Ability to plan, direct and review accounts payable teams' work
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail and ability to work in high volume company
  • Good verbal and written communication skills,
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder service orientated
  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrated skill in Microsoft (Excel, Word)
  • Experience with data entry and finance programs such as ACCPAC or Sage 300
  • Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good time management and organizational skills with strong ability to multitask,
  • Must have a strong work ethic, be reliable with a positive team attitude

Job Types:

Salary:
$55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
