Deli Clerk - Taber, Canada - South Country Co-op Limited
Description
Reporting to the Deli Manager, the Deli Clerk is responsible for preparing salads, meats, sandwiches, pizzas, and other foods, providing prompt response to Deli customers, and practicing good housekeeping and sanitation habits.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience and knowledge of the Deli Department in a supermarket or delicatessen are an asset
- Must be capable of operating tools/equipment required for the preparation, merchandising, and sale of Deli products
- Ability to frequently lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Able to work in extreme temperatures (freezer or cooler)
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to adapt to new technology
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
Availability:
Required days, required evenings and required weekends (including Sundays)
