Position Highlights
The Information Risk Management team within the Information Services Division is currently looking for an Information Security
Analyst.
The position supports Information Risk Management to ensure ICBC meets business, legal, and stakeholder requirements for
security controls, review and communicate to technical and business stakeholders on the efficacy of these measures, and
suggest ways for improving them.
In this role you will be working closely with business and technology stakeholders to identify risks in projects and ongoing
practices. You will be working closely with our Privacy & Freedom of Information and IT Security teams to analyze both technical
exposures of information assets as well as the effectiveness of security controls and processes. As part of your duties you will
be completing information risk assessments and associated reports, supporting the development of polices, standards and
strategies, and validating compliance through metrics and technical checks.
Position Requirements
You have knowledge of:
- Information security threats and the security controls used to mitigate them
- Concepts of Information Technology governance, risk, and compliance processes such as NIST and ISO 27002
You have demonstrated skills to:
- Manage, run, or implement technical security controls, security tools, security processes or incident response processes
- Facilitate discussions with business and technical stakeholders
- Communicate technical risks/controls with business and technical stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for improvements in procedures, processes and technologies
- Provide feedback into information security policies, standards and strategies
- Present security issues to varied audiences
