Job Summary

Under the direction of the Cargo Manager, the Duty Manager is responsible to manage Ramp & Cargo activities effectively and profitably by providing a safe and quality product, covering a range of ground Handling services.

Job locations:
YMX available to support YUL cargo.

Responsibilities:

Accountable for daily Ramp and Cargo operations, efficiently managing staff to reduce dependence on overtime.
Maintain and improve customer and company safety and quality standards.
Maintain good relations with customers and airport authorities.
Manage and control all staff assignments.
Hold daily briefings with all levels of management.
Coach and train all employees to effectively improve operations.
Ensure workforce adherence to company policies and procedures.
Participate to the disciplinary and grievance process with labor relations.
Ensure that incidents/accidents reports are completed in an adequate and timely manner.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies

3 years of relevant experience in the ground handling industry, ramp and/or warehouse management.
Relevant experience in personnel management.
Excellent communication skills (interpersonal)
Languages: French/English (bilingual), oral and written.
Valid Driver's License (mandatory) and airside permit D/A (an asset)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Leadership ability.
Customer focus and quality awareness.
Ability to deal with conflict.
Available and flexible to work various shifts (day, evening, night, weekend, and holidays) by operational requirements.
Available and flexible to occasionally work at the YMX (Mirabel airport) location by operational needs
