- Installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment including transformers, circuit breakers, and switches.
- Operation of construction equipment such as skid steer, mini hoe, manlifts, and zoombooms.
- Compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
- Leadership, supervision, mentoring, and training of Electrical Apprentices.
- Inspection and testing of high voltage electrical equipment in substations.
- Installation and planning of power system equipment.
- Facilitation of substation equipment maintenance.
- Adherence to safety policies and safe work procedures.
- Valid Journeyman Electrician Certificate.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrician with 2 years in substations.
- Thorough knowledge of Electrical Utility Code and Occupational Health and Safety rules.
- Provincial Class 5 driver's license with an acceptable record.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows, Office, and test equipment.
- Comfort working at heights and willingness to travel.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with problem-solving abilities.
