Description

Fowler is actively seeking Skilled Labourers with experience in one of the following areas of expertise: asphalt, concrete, excavation, grading, paving, sewers and watermain.

Key Duties:

Execute the daily plan and work sequence under the direction of the Foreman, completing construction work in an effective safetyconscious manner.
Work with and alongside other workers to successfully complete the required work.
Follow direction as provided by the Foreperson and Superintendent.
Complete work with attention to detail to produce a quality product.
Spot for equipment and trucks to maintain safe equipment operation on site.
Operate small equipment including quick saws, plate packers, pumps and tools etc., training will be provided as necessary.
Maintain safe equipment operation and maintenance and ensure proper equipment maintenance.
Conduct yourself in a professional and mature manner.

Qualifications:

Experience working in an area of expertise as detailed above.
Demonstrate organizational skills with strong knowledge in the area of expertise.
Strong work ethic and ability to work with a team.
Must be able to stand, lift 50 lbs., carry, bend, and reach.
Punctual and available to work 55 hours per week.
Must maintain a valid driver's license.

Work Conditions:

Travel to various sites will be required.
Outdoor environment in various weather conditions.
Weekend and evening work may occasionally be required.
Involvement in the company's Contractor Directed Maintenance Contracts (CDMC) may be required.
Wage is commensurate with experience._
