Who We're Looking For


We are looking for a creative, engaging personality who is experienced with social media management to take our social media and community voice to the next level.

As the Social Media Coordinator, you will lead the social media strategy, create engaging content related to the brand and products, actively engage with and support the community through comments, as well as actively promote the brand via engagement with other pages.

You will learn about the company, products, and brand tone and represent Nanoleaf as a face of the company online through various social platforms.

You will help to engage and grow our 280k and growing community of smart lighting / gaming / smart home enthusiasts through creative storytelling and strategic awareness building content.

You will be a part of the marketing team, reporting to the Creative Director and work closely with Content, Design and Community Management teams.


What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and develop strong social media campaigns and strategy across platforms (IG, Twitter, TikTok, Twitch, Youtube, Pinterest)
  • Design, create and manage fresh, new, and trendy content on social media platforms to enhance the company's brand and improve community engagement (including Tiktoks and Youtube Shorts, IG story/reel/post, Tweets, Livestreaming on Twitch / IG etc)
  • Assist in development and maintenance of social brand guidelines and social voice
  • Look for opportunities to proactively engage with brandrelevant conversations (including UGC, influencers, trending moments, etc.)
  • Collaborate with marketing team to develop ongoing and compelling social media marketing campaigns
  • Develop crossfunctional relationships to collaborate on improving business results of social channels
  • Research trends, analyze the existing digital marketing and social media plan, identifying opportunities and identifying opportunities for improvements
  • Disseminate complex concepts into simple and catchy headlines and copy
  • Define performance indicators, measurement and analytics and develop insights based on social media content and channel performance
  • Weekly social media analytics and performance reporting to provide insight to the broader marketing team (in collaboration with business intelligence analyst)
  • Communicate by storytelling and conveying key messages in a dynamic and compelling way
  • Collecting and reporting on social and cultural trends to drive content planning
  • Actively maintaining the social media calendar to ensure activity across platforms on a weekly basis
  • Managing the conversation on Reddit whenever relevant
  • Engaging with trending content as Nanoleaf
  • Answering questions and offering technical support to the community, while helping to resolve community issues

Requirements / Qualifications:


  • 2+ year experience with social media management for Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook on a professional level
  • Experience with Adobe programs (ie Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Intermediate to expert in social media analytics
  • Creative thinker who can bring a brand voice to life across a variety of social media touchpoints
  • Strong writer and communicator
  • General marketing knowledge
  • Comfortable on camera being scripted/unscripted, and live
  • Passionate about generating social media engagement and building up a community
  • Proven experience in managing timelines and workload independently with mínimal supervision
  • This position is based in Toronto, and the person must be willing and able to work at least 1 day per week in our Toronto HQ Office

Bonus:
