The Coffee Mine Project ("Coffee") is a proposed hard-rock gold mine.

Coffee will be a premier, high-grade, open pit heap leach gold mine project, built to world class standards, located in Canada's Yukon Territory.

Environmental Monitor


Responsibilities:


  • Assist with environmental monitoring including, but not limited to, water quality and hydrology monitoring, archaeology fieldwork, preclearing bird surveys, invasive plant control work and monitoring, and wildlife monitoring.
  • Enter environmental data into databases or spreadsheets.
  • Inspections of site facilities to ensure spills are reported, the facilities are free of animal attractants, and hazardous materials are stored in compliance with site permits.
  • Assist with spill cleanup, response and reporting.
  • Participate in all required health and safety programs including daily toolbox talks and job hazard analyses.
  • Other activities as assigned by their supervisor.

Requirements:


  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Must be a Yukon resident
  • Be committed to safe work practices and follow company code of conduct.
  • Ability to work with staff and contractors in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Ability and interest in working outdoors in all conditions, including the ability to hike over uneven terrain while carrying a backpack.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, with both oral and written skills.
  • Able to work in a camp setting on a rotational schedule.
  • Coursework or training in environmental monitoring is an asset, but not required.
  • Previous work experience at exploration, mine, construction or industrial sites is an asset, but not required.
