• Identify projects that align with company goals and values
• Review project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to understand project requirements
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimation
• Analyze data, perform takeoffs, and calculate material, labor, and equipment costs
• Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project costs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates using industrystandard software such as Accubid
• Prepare detailed and competitive bid proposals in response to client invitations.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
• Develop and maintain cost databases and historical cost data for future reference and continuous improvement
• Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and market conditions to adjust estimates accordingly.
• Collaborate with project teams to monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Clearly communicate cost breakdowns and assumptions to internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Proven experience in electrical estimating or a related field
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction materials, methods, and techniques
• Proficiency in using estimating software such as Accubid or similar programs
• Strong Knowledge of OESC and other related standards
• Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadline
• Attention to Detail and eagerness to learn
