CID&A Business Operations team plays an important role within the CID&A Strategic Initiatives pillar, with responsibilities including Business Continuity planning, Financial reporting, Contract and vendor management, Third Party Risk management and audit and compliance tracking.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Work with the Senior Manager, Business Support achieving CID&A's mission to transform the Bank into a data-centric organization through well governed data, innovative analytics, and impactful customer insights.

You will track and report on the remediation of CID&A IT risk/audit issues and controls gaps.

You assist the team to provide risk oversight for vendor and contingent worker contract management, and to support CID&A managers ensuring compliance with Third Party Risk Management requirements.

The primary work location of this position will be in the 44 King St.

West Ecosystem This isa hybrid working environment in which employees may opt to perform certain activities at home and others in-office.

Collaboration technologies such as Microsoft Teams will be at your disposal to connect with Scotiabankers around the globe.

  • Use management skills to coordinate, track progress and report on the progress of risk and issue remediation activities.
  • Conduct analytical work to translate risks into actionable remediation activities, including leveraging data analytics tools to identify trends and areas of concentration of risk.
  • Ongoing monitoring and tracking of issues raised by (second line), Internal & External Auditors, and Regulators, and assist risk owners to ensure remediation is completed within predefined timelines
  • Support the Senior Manager in working up with initiative owners to build their capability to effectively manage contacts and licenses within the frame work of the risk management
  • Support planning oversight and execution for the for the contract management lifecycle

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have experience with:

  • You have solid communication (verbal/written) skills
  • You have demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate projects and remediation activities in a complex organization dealing with risk owners across teams.
  • You possess strong problemsolving and analytical skills to rapidly assess problem situations and creatively develop alternate solutions and approaches
  • You have experience with compliance, audit and or risk management functions
  • You have demonstrated good ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
