Scope

Located on the unceded and ancestral lands of the Salish peoples, including the Katzie, K wantlen, and Semiahmoo Nations, the City of Surrey is a globally recognized leader in building vibrant, sustainable communities.

The Heritage Services section of the Parks, Recreation & Culture Department is seeking a collaborative and innovative Coordinator of Heritage Programs (Community Services Coordinator 1) at Historic Stewart Farm.

Reporting to the Curator of Exhibits and Programs, the Coordinator plays a critical role in developing and providing one-of-a-kind experiences for visitors at this dynamic heritage site.

This is an excellent opportunity for a museum/heritage professional with demonstrated experience developing programming, working with community, and implementing and supporting visitor experience enhancements.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

As the successful applicant, you are passionate about museums and heritage, and possess the following qualifications: Graduation from a recognized university or college level program.

3 years of progressively responsible experience including supervision; or An acceptable equivalent combination of training and experience.
