We have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Technology Supervisor in Regina, SK.

Position profile:


The Internal Technology Supervisor reports directly to the Manager of Network Services and plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless delivery of internal technology hardware and software crucial for corporate operations.


Main responsibilities include:


  • Supervise and guide the department staff, ensuring optimal performance. Provide training and coaching as necessary to ensure staff are motivated and productive.
  • Responsible for providing direct, handson technical support and demonstrating practical knowledge in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues as part of the daily operations.
  • Stay updated with technological advancements to recommend and implement new solutions that cater to the IT needs of the business.
  • Oversee user support and helpdesk operations, ensuring that technologyrelated issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
  • Supervise the allocation and maintenance of essential hardware (laptops, mobile devices, etc.), ensuring proper distribution and tracking within the organization.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with thirdparty vendors.
  • Assist in developing and executing disaster recovery procedures and ensure consistent data backups for internal technology.
  • Champion security awareness and actively manage internal IT risks, emphasizing cybersecurity controls while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

Functional and Technical Competence: Solid knowledge and skills related to corporate IT, including familiarity with the organization's technology stack.

  • Experience with webbased services and technologies (video conferencing, collaboration, software integrations, etc.)

Project Management: Strong multitasking and decision-making skills in a dynamic environment.

Composure: Remains calm under pressure, especially during unexpected challenges.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field; or a mix of technical training and relevant work experience.
  • Three to five years' experience in a supervisory role, with a total of seven years in technology implementation and service support.
  • Experience in the communications industry is a plus.
