Delivery Driver - St. John's, Canada - Furniture Market Warehouse

Description

• Ensure that all deliveries arrive to the correct addresses and avoid damaging items during transport.
• Ensure a secure, clean and orderly truck; ensure the truck is properly stocked with all materials and equipment needed to complete deliveries.
• Ensure proper care of customer relationship by delivering orders in a timely manner.
• Communicate with management to ensure that delivery schedules are met.
• Maintain complete delivery route maps and delivery schedules, and provide them to management upon request.
• Use GPS tracking system to determine if customers' requests need to be adjusted to meet delivery deadlines.
• Change routes based on customer feedback or available discounts; report any discrepancies with the delivery schedule to management.
• Conduct inventory checks for lost or damaged items after each day of deliveries; organize, report and resolve discrepancies in the inventory count with management staff.
• Report on the actual costs of each daily delivery route (i.e. vehicle operating costs, fuel costs incurred.).
