Our mission is to provide services to people with developmental disabilities, enabling them to enjoy independence and a quality of life they choose by building on individual strengths and abilities.
We are seeking a
Temporary Reception/Adminstative Assistant. This is a
term position ending on March 31, 2023 with possibility of extension. Days of work are from Monday-Friday and hours of work are 36.25 hrs. per week.
Position Overview:
The position of the Reception/Administrative Assistant is responsible for ensuring all inquiries and messages are handled in a welcoming, knowledgeable and efficient manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcomes incoming visitors; responds to inquiries and/or redirects to the appropriate personnel.
- Performs administrative assistant tasks for the Executive Director.
- Maintains the front office area, printer rooms including photocopy and postage machine.
- Maintains meeting room calendars including uptodate booking and scheduling of activities.
- Maintains training attendance list for Agency training including course registration, sending reminders and identifying low attending training activities.
- Prepares certificates and orders food if required for onsite training.
- Processes both outgoing and incoming mail and couriers; assists all programs with major mail outs.
- Updates and distributes Association phone lists and Emergency Disaster Plan.
- Maintains association forms inventory within the mail room; maintains agency stationery inventory, printing supplies; and fills staff stationery orders.
- May be required to assist programs with special projects and other clerical duties.
- Other administrative duties or special projects as requested by the Executive Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Clear Criminal Record Check (within 6 months)
- At least 1years' experience working in an office environment, preferably within an administrative role. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Exceptional customer service skills and professionalism required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multiple demands and time constraints.
- Ability to multitask and attention to detail is required.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Advanced skills working with Microsoft Office.
Salary:
$18.84-$24.78 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday

- administrative: 1 year (preferred)
