We are hiring a Maintenance Availability Leader in Fort McMurray Do you have leadership skills to empower a maintenance organization to develop and execute plans to improve business performance? In this role you will provide leadership to a cross functional team to improve the reliability of the operations.

You will use your influence to ensure that unit availability is consistent with the team objectives and Identify improvement opportunities to deliver the team objectives
Minimum Requirements:
Engineering Degree (mining or mechanical)-
Degree in Finance/MBA is preferred-
Related experience in Reliability Engineering or Maintenance Execution and is capable of overseeing effective use of the maintenance work processes and driving reliability improvements-
At least 5 years of operational Leadership experience within the Mining Industry-
Knowledge of Human and Organizational Performance Philosophy-
At least 5 years of experience with asset management / fleet use of availability
Responsibilities:
Integrate the maintenance function, including maintenance execution, planning, schedule, engineering, reliability and supply chain as a key member of the cross functional leadership team-
Point of accountability for equipment availability and influencing the drivers which impact availability for the cross functional leadership team-
Approve the work selection for equipment within the Management system and Maintenance and Reliability standard-
Manage the maintenance budget and guiding decisions on spend, with focus on affordability-
Drive and coaches the cross functional team in risk-based decision-making, helping optimize the balance
between short term and long-term decision making
Utilize KPIs to select and drive continuous improvement priorities, linking to the annual business plan, capital plan and budget-
Drive a safety culture consistent with Human and Organizational Performance philosophy

You will work Monday to Friday out of Syncrude's Mildred Lake location in Fort McMurray Syncrude
