Retail Sales Associate / Merchandiser to join our Hamilton facility. The position is full-time Monday to Friday (between 8am and 5pm) with occasional Saturday coverage.
The
Retail Sales Associate/Merchandiser is responsible for providing excellent customer service to our customers, replenishing and merchandising stock on the floor, and cashing customers out at the register.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize and suitably merchandise product to facilitate a pleasant retail experience.
- Verify inventory levels through spot checks and cycle counts.
- Greet customers (in person and on the phone) and assist them in finding products.
- Process customer orders through the computer system, including processing returns.
- Ensure shelves are fully stocked and organized with accurately priced products.
- Pull customer orders from stock.
- Perform cash register functions.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Background and Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years' experience merchandizing products on a retail floor required.
- Minimum 2 years' customer service experience in a similar retail environment required, including fulfilling cash registertype functions.
- Experience managing retail returns, stocking retail products and organizing retail displays.
- A general understanding of health and safety products is considered an asset.
- Similar experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs. without restriction when required, and to work on your feet in a retail environment for large portions of the day.
