What Will You Do?

  • Fully understand Erb Transport's handling of freight on the Montreal dock. Understand duties of both Dock Loaders and Dock Receivers.
  • Load straighttrucks as well as trailers destined for specific locations, while avoiding damages by ensuring equipment is set at correct temperatures.
  • Judging freight volumes for trailers, cubing, re weighing and additional reporting as needed.
  • Set up dock floor and line up freight so that orders can be found efficiently and accurately.
  • Read and crossreference freight bills to match with actual products according to manifests. Ensure trucks are loaded according to legal weights and space allotted for the product.
  • Operate palletjack and forklift in a safe manner. Inform appropriate personnel of any equipment requiring repairs and/or followup.
  • All other duties as required.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • Minimum of 1 years of forklift experience.
  • Knowledge of Erb's systems and operations is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a cold, refrigerated environment for up to 8 hours is necessary.
  • Must be able to list up to 60lbs.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Positive communication skills as it pertains to interacting with dock staff, operations, and drivers.
  • Safetyconscious mindset.
  • Overtime may be required from time to time

Que ferez-vous ?

  • Comprendre pleinement la manutention des marchandises par Erb Transport sur le quai de Montréal. Comprendre les tâches des chargeurs et des receveurs de quai.
  • Charger les camions porteurs ainsi que les remorques destinées à des endroits spécifiques, tout en évitant les dommages en s'assurant que l'équipement est réglé aux bonnes températures.
- Évaluer les volumes de marchandises pour les remorques, les cuber, les peser à nouveau et faire des rapports supplémentaires au besoin.

  • Mettre en place les quais et aligner le fret de manière à ce que les commandes puissent être trouvées de manière efficace et précise.
