ZGM is looking for a Part-Time Communications Specialist. This position will coordinate one project kicking off in early 2023, and support other projects within the PR team. This will be a four-month contract, with the possibility of extending.

Role and Responsibilities:

Working closely with the ZGM PR team, the Communications Specialist will provide media event support and planning for an upcoming campaign, in addition to other projects as required.

The Communications Specialist duties include:

Drafting and executing on campaign media event plan in collaboration with client and agency partners
Drafting key messages, Q and As, event plan, logistics and media kits
Providing launch day onsite support and coordination
Attending client planning sessions and meetings
Working with internal agency resources to develop and coordinate signage and other collateral
Distributing news release and delivering calldowns to media

Experience and skills required:

Significant experience organizing and executing on media event plans
Strong writing, plain language, and analytical skills
Able to distill and synthesize information into effective messages and soundbites
Deadline oriented, with a proven ability to work and multitask under pressure, respond quickly to changing situations in complex environments, prepare responses/narrative quickly and clearly, and use personal initiative
Strong interpersonal and networking skills, highly articulate team player
An eye for detail and a need for accuracy

Qualifications:

An undergraduate degree in social science, communications, or a related discipline, supplemented by a minimum of five (5) years of progressively related experience with a PR agency or in-house communications.
