Job Description

The Manager, Indigenous Student Services is a key leadership position at Mohawk College. This role plays a vital part in creating an inclusive and supportive environment for Indigenous students.

As the Manager, Indigenous Student Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the Indigenous Student Centre and its services. You will work closely with staff, students, and community partners to ensure that Indigenous students receive the support they need to succeed.

You will have a minimum of five years of administrative experience, preferably in an educational setting. You will also have lived experience and demonstrated work experience in/with Indigenous communities.

This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. You will be able to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals, including students, staff, and community members.

Responsibilities:

Developing and implementing processes to support Indigenous students
Managing the Indigenous Student Centre and its services
Overseeing budget management and financial planning
Fostering partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders
Providing leadership and guidance to staff and students
