Drupal Back-End Instruction
We are looking for the Drupal Instructor to teach back-end /module development.
Responsibilities
Front-End Development Instruction Responsibilities
Responsible for teaching students to formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme. Work closely with back-end student developers to ensure an effective, visually appealing, and intuitive implementation.
Back-End Development Instruction Responsibilities
Responsible for teaching design and implementing new features and functionality, establishing, and guiding the website's architecture, ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
Skills and Qualifications to teach
- Extremely fluent with HTML5/XHTML and CSS
- Experience teaching and working with PHP, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Ability to write JavaScript with and without the use of frameworks such as jQuery
- Experience teaching designing and developing responsive design websites
- Comfortable working and with teaching debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
- Ability to understand and explain CSS changes to have consistent style across platforms and browsers
- Ability to understand and be able to explain converting comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
Back-End Instruction Skills
- Experience teaching and developing web solutions in Drupal and PHP implementations in a LAMP environment
- Ability to teach and architect enterprise Drupal solutions including data, display, and information architecture
- Advanced sitebuilding teaching experience including deep familiarity with Drupal modules such as CTools, Views, and Panels
- Experience creating and teaching how to create custom Drupal modules
- Experience building and teaching responsive websites using Drupal CMS, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery
- Knowledge of and experience teaching PHP, PHP files and theme functions, and knowledge of the Drupal theme layer
- Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs.
Required Certifications and Education
- At least 3 to 5 years of Drupal experience and teaching.
- Diploma or a bachelor's degree in information technology and Programming.
Availability
We are looking for someone who is willing to do 3 hours a week on Friday afternoons from 1pm to 4pm.
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$20.00-$30.00 per hour
