High Pressure Wash Bay Technician/Labourer

What will you be doing?


As a technician you can expect to be part of a small team in an industrial wash bay setting that uses low and high pressure industrial cleaning equipment including specialized degreasers to clean and rinse equipment.

Rigging plant processing equipment and heavy mining components in and out of our shops and ultrasonic cleaning tank by means of overhead crane, forklift and other various equipment.


Duties & Responsibilities
Competently operate a variety of equipment including (i.e. pressure washer, overhead crane, forklift, internal bundle cleaner [IBC], bundle blaster, lancing equipment, high pressure pumps and ultrasonic vessels).

  • Clean scaffolding, critical components, equipment, and various material.
  • Photograph and document every item received, document any abnormalities.
  • Shrinkwrap heat exchangers and components.
  • Ensure daily material tracking sheets are completed accurately and in timely fashion.

What are the job requirements?

  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence is required.
  • Valid Alberta Forklift Ticket & Valid Alberta Overhead Crane and Rigging Ticket is required.
  • If selected for an interview, a copy of a 5 year driver's abstract is required.
  • Successfully obtain clearance on mandatory preemployment drug, alcohol and physical abilities testing is required.
  • Strong team player but has the ability to work independently
  • Ability to read and write with excellent comprehension skills.
  • Basic understanding of electrical principles.
  • Experience with handling cleaning solutions is an asset.
  • Physically fit to perform all necessary duties of this job.

Experience:

- utilizing High pressure Equipment: 2 years (preferred)


Licence/Certification:
- class 5 Drivers Licence (required)
