COMPENSATION:
$18.61 per hour


HOURS:
As scheduled. Tuesdays 10am-6pm, Thursdays 9am-4pm.


Additional hours as scheduled:
A Casual Program Assistant is required at the René Deleurme Centre to support various programming initiatives, with a
particular focus on food security initiatives.
The René Deleurme Centre (RDC) is a community learning centre in Louis Riel School Division. RDC is comprised of various
community stakeholders, including a daycare, adult Literacy and EAL programs, newcomer settlement services team, and family
outreach team. RDC offers equity-based programming that is responsive to the community we serve.

Key Responsibilities of the RDC Casual Program Assistant:

  • Complete scheduled food pick-ups from identified community partner agencies, including loading and unloading of
products

  • Organize and distribute food to partner schools and community through identified initiatives
  • Support community programming as required
  • Assist with snack planning and preparation for programming
  • Other duties as assigned




REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and with little supervision; Demonstrate ability to take initiative
  • Enjoy working with community; A positive outlook with a belief in the ethic of caring & inclusion
  • Be responsible and a team player
  • The ability to perform physical work which includes repetitive lifting of up to 50lbs
  • Valid full Manitoba Driver's license, driver's abstract, and access to a reliable vehicle that can transport up to 700 pounds of
food is required (mileage reimbursement provided)
