We are looking for a motivated, organized and reliable
Logistics and Planning Category Manager to join our team


The
Logistics and Planning Category Managerwill be responsible for the management of Logistics and Planning activities that will benefit the subsidiaries of the Giampaolo Group.

This role will focus on systems, processes, reporting and sourcing, resulting in recommended logistics purchasing approaches that will lead to lower costs, better service and optimization of the supply chain
.



Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in supply chain management, finance, business administration, or related field
  • 510 years Supply Chain experience
  • Accreditation from one of the following designations: SCMP, ISM, CITT, etc.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategic oversight of the sourcing and procurement process of logistics through from a Giampaolo Group perspective
  • Assist in developing future strategies for managing logistics across Giampaolo Group
  • Strategic Supplier Sourcing across the Globe with major focus on North America, resulting in best value for the businesses.
  • Prepare large request for quotes and negotiate contracts in coordination with the businesses
  • In Depth Market analysis of all logistics categories/methods, key trends
  • Coaching and advising on local logistics purchasing where applicable
  • Carrier Relationship Management including strategic review meetings
  • Instrumental member of Business Intelligence development as it relates to Logistics and Planning
  • Supply Chain Optimization tool develop, testing, and roll out
  • Review and standardize logistics processes rates in system, fuel management, freight rate audit and standard operating procedures for logistics activities at plants.
  • Assist in design of monthly reports, run the set reports with analysis including recommendations and observations to improve the costs and process and service
  • Assist in Logistics budgets and monthly tracking to actuals
