Quality Assurance Technicican - Cambridge, Canada - Cambridge Brass Inc.
Description
This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and will support the quality department to deliver quality parts to end-user customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate and/or lead forensic analysis of production parts and components.
- Regular audits of production parts.
- Log and investigate returned goods.
- Maintain inspection, component and tooling logs.
- Enter data into the ERP system (Epicor) including Scrap, Returns and Defective Material Reports.
- Prepare reports for customer & internal communications.
- Involvement in some of the following areas, as needed fixture/gauge design, foundry design, tooling.
- Calibration of gauges, setting thread gauges and verifying plug gauges.
- Operate and setup spectrometer to verify metal composition.
- Onsite visits to support customers.
- Facilitate in plant tours.
- Additional projects and tasks will be assigned as required.
Education:
Preferred
- Some college or better in Engineering or related field
- Some college or better in Manufacturing Technology or related field
