Reporting to the Controller, the Assistant Controller is responsible to assist in all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, corporate programs, reporting, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.


Your day-to-day activities will include:

Ensuring Bank Reconciliations and accruals are balanced and reported accurately
Management and reconciliation of cash and AP related balance sheet accounts
Assisting in setting up the Year End audit process and supporting documents
Work directly with the Controller and our external auditors to ensure proper reporting of the financial status of the Cash Department for its Year-end


Administer and streamline various corporate programs: Credit Cards, Company Vehicle Fleet, and Expense Claims management
Be one of the primary contacts to our external banking partners
Build and prepare various weekly and monthly reports
Reconcile accounts by verifying monthly statements and transactions related to vendor accounts
Be a source of account knowledge for customers, vendors and employees.

A post-secondary education in business or accounting - CPA a definite asset;
5 years' experience in industry corporate accounting;
Strong organizational, decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills;
Strong working knowledge of computerized accounting systems - Advanced skills using MS Excel and the rest of the MS Office Suite;
Great interpersonal and communication skills;
