Silvatech is accepting resumes for the position of
Sr.
Forester or Forest Technologist to help oversee the management of forest waste and residue assessments in BC.

This is a senior level position that requires an experienced RPF or Registered Forest Technologist to supervise waste & residue assessments and associated report submissions in the BC interior.

We are a family friendly company. The position will be full-time based at Salmon Arm, BC. We offer competitive remuneration and benefits commensurate with experience and responsibilities.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • RPF or Registered Forest Technologist
  • Experience with current BC Waste and Residue system
  • Timber / Cutting Permit development experience
  • Efficient and safety conscious with field operations
  • Good written and interpersonal communication skills in English
  • Good people / team player / management skills
  • A mature, responsible, flexible attitude
  • Good computer / GIS skills
  • Valid BC drivers license
  • Level 1 First Aid, S100, ATV safety and Bear Aware training

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Waste & Residue Surveys oversight, and submissions
  • Coordination of a large waste and residue program
  • Subordinate staff Q/A, training and supervision
  • Business Development & Client liaison
  • Associated plans, reports and submissions
