Maple Hill Manor is currently hiring a Full Time Director of Programs, Recreation & Volunteer Services. The Director of Programs, Recreation & Volunteer Services is responsible for the overall coordination and management of Programs, Recreation & Volunteer Services for Maple Hill Manor. The Director is responsible to plan, direct, organize, implement Programs, Recreation & Leisure activities and Volunteer Services for Maple Hill Manor. This position facilitates many relationships within the community and is responsible for managing student placements, completing grant applications and evaluate all Programs offered at Maple Hill Manor

QUALIFICATIONS

1.Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Bachelor's Degree in related field with relevant work experience will be considered.
• Continuing education in Dementia Management.
• Must show desire to continue education in this field.

2. Experience:

• Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience working with the elderly.
• Must have experience in a management position in the health care field.
• Experience in assessing physical and psychological needs.
• Supervisory experience would be an asset.

3. Oher Qualifications:

• Must have a valid Class 4 Driver's License or willing to obtain.
• Current Membership in Nova Scotia Therapeutic Recreation Association.
• Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office
