The Role


E360 Solutions is Ontario's largest transporter of used tires providing collection services to thousands of tire shops, vehicle dealers, auto recyclers and municipal recycling centers across the province.

As we continue to develop a world-class recycling operation we are building a tire recycling facility located in Barrie Ontario.

This plant will process scrap tires to recover the component materials and supply them to end markets across Canada for use in the production of manufactured goods, safer play and athletic surfaces and home and garden products.


Operating this new facility to the highest standards will require a motivated and enthusiastic team, including a Maintenance Group lead by an engaging and effective Maintenance Manager.

Reporting to the Plant Manager the Maintenance Manager's mission is to build and motivate a high-performance team that delivers operational excellence and production results by:


  • Oversee the maintenance of all plant equipment including the physical structure, tire processing equipment, building electrical and mechanical systems and rolling stock.
  • Works in close collaboration with the Plant Manager and other department leads (Shredding, Production) to achieve plant objectives.
  • Providing direct supervision and mentorship to the maintenance team and being accountable for the activities of the team.
  • Maintaining high levels of communication with the Plant Manager, Shredding and Production Leaders and employees and ensures the highest level of employee training to continuously improve plant operations.
  • Provide plantwide training on preventative maintenance and how all employees can contribute to safe and efficient operations through regular maintenance.
  • Creating a culture of safety within the plant and maintenance team employees specifically in coordination with the Plant Manager. Ensure all safety policies are followed at all times and support the training of plant employees as required.
  • Engage with leaders of other tire divisions to drive profitability within the broader used tire group.
  • Support the continuous improvement of plant operations and production to drive overall plant profitability.
  • Provide regular reporting on plant performance including but not limited to safety and training of the maintenance team, downtime, maintenance expense and projects.
  • Develop and maintain an appropriate inventory of spare parts to support ongoing plant operations.
  • Scheduling maintenance staff and recommending staffing levels for maintenance activities, including recommendations for recruitment and selection.
  • Practicing active problemsolving strategies to effectively address issues as they arise.
  • Manage overall plant operations to achieve safety, production and expense targets.
  • Interface with maintenancerelated regulatory bodies (ESA, TSSA, CSA).

To qualify for this exciting and unique opportunity, you will have:

  • Minimum of 8 years industrial maintenance experience, with three years of direct supervisory responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated performance as highenergy team player, with ability to lead people and administer results.
  • Industrial Millwright or Electrician license (309A or 442A).
  • Proven experience maintaining production lines including conveyors, gear boxes, large electric motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to use teambuilding principles to constantly improve output and profitability.
  • Excellent organizational skills and capability of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a highpressure environment is crucial.
  • Ability to multitask, assist and coach others where required.
  • Excellent communication skills and teambuilding abilities
  • Ability to work within a highperformance culture.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends as required.
