THE ROLE
Under the supervision of the Mess Manager, the Catering Supervisor assists with the day-to-day planning and organizing of food production and service for catered functions.
You will prepare, cook and serve food while ensuring quality productions and services are being provided. You will ensure proper storage and rotation of food products in accordance with public health department regulations. The Catering Supervisor will prepare catering estimates and final invoices. You will operate kitchen equipment, follow sanitation and safety procedures and assist in cleaning the kitchen. You will supervise staff, or work of volunteers, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses**High school diploma and several years of experience in the food and beverage service or in a related hospitality field
Experience
In supervising hospitality services
In organizing banquets and functions
In safe food handling practices and procedures
In food preparation techniques, methods and procedures
In calculating and controlling food costs
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
