    Reporting to the Senior manager, Facility Management, Montréal Maintenance Centre, you will be responsible for overseeing preventive maintenance through CMMS system, including team organization, supervision of unionized employees, progress monitoring, and compliance with workplace health and safety rules and collective agreements.

    You must possess strong skills in planning, stakeholder management, communication, and leadership, with a proven ability to effectively solve workplace issues.

    As a Facilities Management Supervisor, you will need to train and develop your team to support the company's mission.

    The successful candidate will focus on preventive maintenance and internal clients operational needs, demonstrating flexibility and agility to maximize team performance.

    Additionally, you should be a natural leader inspiring adaptability and ownership in an ever-changing environment, fostering continuous improvement and optimal results.


    Responsibilities:

    • Set performance objectives and supervise activities related to preventive maintenance programs. Propose improvements to optimize existing methods and programs, aiming to increase productivity, efficiency, and equipment performance;
    • Collaborate with supervisors responsible for equipment maintenance to develop schedules and coordinate maintenance work to ensure the regular operations of the Montreal Maintenance Centre;
    • Supervise task delegation to employees, track their progress, provide constructive feedback throughout projects, evaluate maintenance system performance, mobilize team members, and develop strategies to enhance productivity;
    • Ensure employees compliance with company policies during maintenance and repair work, ensuring adherence to maintenance center quality standards and safety and environmental regulations;
    • Develop technical specifications for service contracts, oversee activities performed by specialized contractors, manage the equipment acquisition process, including billing, work order tracking, hours management, and identifying employee training needs;
    • Promote and maintain a safe working environment, emphasizing employee health and safety, asset preservation, loss prevention, and environmental protection;
    • Encourage employee skill development and foster a harmonious work environment for supervised teams

    Requirements :

    • College diploma in electrical engineering technology or building mechanical technology, or equivalent experience;
    • Minimum of eight years of experience in property management or maintenance management. (Experience in project management is considered an asset);
    • Minimum of three years of experience in managing employees or multidisciplinary teams in a unionized environment;
    • Excellent communication skills in both English and French, orally and in writing;
    • Strong knowledge of CMMS;
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Familiarity with SharePoint and Oracle (an asset).
    • The supervisor works according to a regular schedule from 07:00 to 15:00. However, this position also requires being available to take emergency calls on rotation outside regular working hours, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
