Key Responsibilities:


This role is a strategic, tactical, and hands-on partner for the business and requires a mix of skills to be successful.
To manage the Canadian marketing activities relating to Takeda Oncology portfolio.

Under the direction of the Oncology Country Head, take the lead strategic and operational marketing role within the Canadian Integrated Brand Teams supporting Ta hematology and solid tumor assets.

In addition to traditional marketing, this role is responsible to build, integrate and maintain Omnichannel as a capability for the local OBU team.

To embed external stakeholder voice in brand strategies by establishing relationships with Canadian KOLs in target therapeutic areas. To participate, as required, in country, region and global organized commercialization activities in Oncology.

  • Leadership of integrated crossfunctional brand teams and development of the Integrated Brand plans
  • Implementation of Canadian marketing activities within the Integrated Brand Plan. Ensure delivery of commercial targets.
  • To develop and maintain skills and competencies required to ensure the marketing activities meet the needs of customers, achieve commercial objectives and reflect Takeda's ethical approach.
  • Leading the development of the Integrated Brand Plan and Brand Strategies;
  • The successful achievement of tactical objectives and milestones outlined within the Integrated Brand Plan;
  • Achieving the above through effective liaison, networking and working relationships with the OBU, Brand Teams, Market Access, Medical Department, Oncology KAMs and other relevant outsource agencies;
  • Handson collaboration with business functions in the development of omnichannel strategies and engagement tactics for HCPs, KOLs and patients
  • Drive continuous refinement of customer segmentation and personas.
  • Develop campaigns and facilitate the review/approval by business functions.
  • Manage the documental and operational activities needed for campaign operations.
  • Manage the Omnichannel project portfolio and budget.
  • Directly create digital promotional content yourself in the locally used systems (mostly CRM and SFMC). Collaborate with internal teams and external partners for larger content creation projects.
  • Directly implement communications in digital channels, such as newsletters, HCP platforms and others, in alignment with local strategy and compliance.
  • Supporting the Oncology Country Head in managing the company's risk profile including, (where appropriate), IMC Code of Conduct, PAAB standards and the Health and Safety performance of the business;
  • Assisting the Oncology Country head in ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place;
  • Provide leadership to the Integrated Brand Teams and support Field Operations Director with the daytoday management of KAM Team;
  • To be the main Canadian marketing representative within the Global Brand Team and OBU EUCAN commercial initiatives in the Myeloma/NSCLC therapy area and work routinely with the Global and EUCAN Marketing Team and to ensure Canadian strategies are in line with Global and European strategy and that resources and ideas can, where appropriate be implemented in the Canadian marketing plan
  • Developing effective and constructive working relationships throughout the Business Unit and Takeda Canada in general and with the Integrated Brand Team and Takeda Medical and Market Access Departments in particular;
  • Partnering with the Oncology KAM team and the delivery of agreed goals;
  • Developing effective and constructive working relationships with appointed suppliers and agencies;

Education, Experience & Skills:


  • Completion of University Degree or College Diploma (B.Sc Preferred)
  • MSc.; MBA would be considered strong asset
- >5 years pharmaceutical brand management in Oncology

  • Pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Oncology market experience in sales and / or marketing
  • Experience in sales and / or marketing of high cost / orphan therapies
  • People management experience within a field based or head office role
  • Launch marketing experience
  • Omnichannel/digital marketing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate as a flexible team player
  • Ability to take initiative and lead / influence crossfunctional teams and multiple external agencies
