    Job Summary


    As a skilled Hydrovac Operator, you will play a critical role in the safe operation and maintenance of hydrovac units on job sites throughout the Calgary region.



    Job Description


    This is an excellent opportunity to join our team and take on new challenges. As a Hydrovac Operator, you will be responsible for operating hydrovac excavation equipment safely and efficiently, performing pre-trip inspections, and conducting routine maintenance tasks. You will also be required to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure site operations are carried out safely and efficiently.



    Key Responsibilities



    • Operate hydrovac excavation equipment in a safe and efficient manner


    • Perform pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working order


    • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure site operations are carried out safely and efficiently


    • Identify and mitigate potential site hazards


    • Accurately complete and submit daily reports, inspections, and other required documentation


    • Read and interpret utility locates, drawings, and schematics to ensure safe and precise excavation


    • Demonstrate knowledge of traditional and advanced locate methods




    Requirements



    • Proven experience in operating hydrovac excavation equipment


    • Skilled in operating tri-drive vehicles and manual transmissions


    • Ability to interpret utility locates and read technical schematics


    • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures


    • Strong communication and teamwork skills


    • High attention to detail and strong customer service orientation


    • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years operating Hydrovac equipment in the field
