Job Description:

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be joining CIBC's Project Management Office, Enterprise Technology. You'll provide guidance to others and manage a portfolio of projects from end-to-end.

As a Senior IT Project Manager, you'll lead teams of stakeholders and business partners to ensure projects of all sizes are completed in line with the team's budget and timeline.

You'll use your expertise in project management methodology to make recommendations for continuous improvements on all project plans.

How You'll Succeed- Coordination - Support Project Managers throughout all phases of the project management lifecycle. Develop, manage and control schedules by updating and making mitigation decisions and escalating as appropriate to the Project Manager.

Conduct project team meetings with Project manager and document minutes of the meeting- Tracking & Reporting - Track progress and make recommendations on response plans for risks, resolution plans for issues and results on action items and make decisions on required escalations.

Manage the reporting of small projects, generally under $0.5 million using the appropriate tools and processes.- Project Financials - Track and reconcile financials ensuring resolution of anomalies, update and reconcile latest estimates ensuring actuals to plan, make recommendations escalating as appropriate.

You will be the first checkpoint for ensuring project financials are reconciled and reported in Planview and PRF accurately.

You will be working with Program Finance and project Finance contacts on regular basis to manage financials reporting on your assigned projects.


Who You Are- You can demonstrate experience in having worked in a similar capacity as an IT Project Coordinator under a Technology PMO division of the bank.

You have hands on experience creating project artifacts and supporting Project Managers during the project management lifecycle.

You have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project and you have strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

You have good understanding of Waterfall methodology and CIBC Enterprise Delivery Framework (EDF) You are able to demonstrate hands on experience in managing PMLE and project reporting tools Planview and PRF used by CIBC.- You're driven to succeed.

You are able to back up the Project managers in their absence and lead the project.- You have a graduate degree in any discipline.
