Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Part-Time Maintenance Technician to join our team at Chapel Heights Retirement Community.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the physical condition and overall appearance of our community, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing repairs, electrical work, carpentry, and painting.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the community's facilities, identifying and addressing any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
  • Respond promptly to resident service requests and resolve maintenancerelated concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of maintenance equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the timely completion of work orders and projects.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and time spent on each task.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably in a senior living, Hospitality or residential community.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects as required.

Schedule and Compensation:
This is a part-time position, with approximately 15 hours per week. The schedule includes weekends, holidays and sometime evenings based on the needs of the community. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
