Job Summary:

The Production supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations in a manufacturing plant, ensuring the efficient and accurate packaging of products according to established standards.


Roles and Responsibilities:

Operations:
Operate and monitor equipment, such as fillers, sealers, labelers, and conveyors, to package products accurately and efficiently.
Follow packaging specifications, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent packaging quality and appearance.

Quality Control:
Perform quality checks on packaging materials, such as labels, containers, and packaging components, to ensure compliance with specifications.
Inspect packaged products for proper seals, labeling accuracy, and overall product presentation.

Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvement in the packaging operations.
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to implement process modifications and enhancements.
Monitor packaging line performance and analyze data to identify bottlenecks, reduce downtime, and improve throughput.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and streamline operations


Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or vocational training in packaging or related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a packaging operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Indepth knowledge of packaging principles, techniques, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with various packaging materials, methods, and technologies.
  • Understanding of quality control procedures and standards.
  • Basic understanding of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow packaging specifications accurately.
  • Good hands on equipment knowledge of labeler, atmosphere packaging, round table. vertical form filler, indexing white conveyors, gas mixer, date coder, metal detectors, tray makers, case sealer, date coder
