    The Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing program deliverables that brings together community agencies, employers and clients to support the diverse needs of naturalized Canadian citizens, Temporary Foreign Worker permit holders, International Mobility Program permit holders, Post-Graduation Work permit holders and refugee claimants. Your role involves coordinating various aspects of program logistics, ensuring resources are efficiently allocated, and monitoring program performance against established goals. You will work closely with the leadership team to identify areas for improvement, implement streamlined processes, and contribute to the overall enhancement of program effectiveness. The Program Coordinator will ensure the implementation of an advisory committee that will directly influence the program delivery of the Foreign Workers Program.

    The successful candidate will be required to offer support to clients, employers and the community. The Program Coordinator will be expected to work within a hybrid model of in-person and remotely and will be required to attend community meetings and complete both statistical and activity reports consistently for funders.

    A willingness to work a flexible schedule is required as shifts may vary and may include evenings and weekends. This role is classified as a full-time (32 hours per week) position, and the incumbent will be eligible for an attractive benefits package.

    Essential Functions

  • Assess clients' needs and determine the types of services required.
  • Assist clients with their settlement needs and connect them to resources relating to economic, social, cultural, educational, recreational and other services that contribute to the initial settlement of the client.
  • Provide assistance with completing forms, applications, translations and interpretation, as needed.
  • Provide settlement and integration services to foreign nationals.
  • Make appropriate referrals to programs and services.
  • Organize information sessions and educational workshops based on meaningful topics for foreign nationals.
  • Ensure that overall service targets set by the funder are met.
  • Develop an outreach strategy focused on other organizations, employers and community services to keep informed of changing trends in employment, day care, health, education and social services.
  • Complete outreach and external engagement.
  • Chair the Foreign Workers Advisory Table and recruit and onboard new Table members and volunteers
  • Prepare, evaluate and work within the approved program budget. Monitor budget lines and report variance monthly.
  • Complete administrative tasks, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Complete all monthly, quarterly, annual and project reports and claims as required.
  • What You'll Need

  • Post secondary degree or diploma in Human Services, Social Sciences, or Community Development or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience facilitating groups, processes, community engagement, strategy development and excellent written and verbal communication, with strong organizational skills.
  • Two years' experience in a coordinator or management role and three years' experience working a team environment.
  • Knowledge in immigration, diversity and multiculturalism and ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. Lived experience as a newcomer to Canada or experience living abroad is an asset.
  • Proven track record of working with multiple stakeholders maximizing collaboration and creative community solutions.
  • Able to obtain a Police Information Check and Vulnerable sector and where Child Intervention/ Enhanced Security check.
