    Pediatric Immunologist 23-STO-PED-IHOPE-28

    Alberta Health Services (AHS), Department of Child Health, in partnership with The University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, is inviting applicants to apply for an academic position within the Division of Pediatric Immunology, Hematology/Oncology, Palliative Care & Environmental Health (iHOPE) in the Department of Pediatrics and the Stollery Children's Hospital. The position is full-time 1.0 FTE, with 60% clinical service and 40% academic duties.

    Responsibilities :

    The successful candidate will be joining one academic pediatric immunologist within the iHOPE division providing a full spectrum of clinical immunology services. In addition to clinical care, the members of the division are active in teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The division also has an active basic and clinical science research program, collaborating locally, nationally, and internationally.

    The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Department of Pediatrics, is affiliated with Alberta Health Services. The Department has established research programs; training programs and collaborative relationships with other departments and research groups at the University of Alberta.

    Alberta Health Services (AHS) is Canada's first and largest province-wide, fully-integrated health system, responsible for delivering health services to the over four million people living in Alberta, as well as to some residents of Saskatchewan, B.C. and the Northwest Territories

    The successful applicant will have:

    MD degree (or equivalent) and have completed subspecialty residency in Pediatric Allergy/Immunology and be certified or eligible to become a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (Pediatric Allergy/Immunology).
    - Fellowship training in Immunology and Allergy
    - Clinical training in primary immunodeficiency and oral immunotherapy
    - Research experience in novel primary immune deficiency

    The applicant must be eligible to obtain a specialist license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) and hold appropriate liability coverage.

    The successful candidate will be offered a contingent-tenure track appointment in the Department of Pediatrics, which is in accordance with the University of Alberta Faculty Agreement and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
