We are now looking for a Technical Resource Management Coordinator for our Montreal office.

Position Overview:


The Technical Resource Management Coordinator holds a pivotal role in optimizing the efficiency and productivity of billable resources within the company.

This position is instrumental in maintaining target occupation rates.

The Technical Resource Management Coordinator collaborates closely with System Integrator (SI) partners to ensure seamless resource allocation aligning with project timelines and objectives.

Reporting Structure:

The Technical Resource Management Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Regular updates regarding resource utilization, capacity planning, reporting and resolution of allocation conflicts or delays are expected from this role.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Resource Utilization Management:
  • Monitor and manage the occupation rate of billable resources to consistently achieve the targets.
  • Collaborate with SI partners to effectively assign staff to projects, ensuring alignment between project requirements and resource skills and availability.
  • Capacity Planning:
  • Proactively plan for capacity issues by forecasting resource needs based on project pipelines and adjust staffing plans accordingly.
  • Conflict Resolution:
  • Resolve allocation conflicts and delays arising from changes in client requirements or project scope to minimize the impact on resource occupation and project timelines.
  • Reporting and Dashboard Management:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive resource allocation dashboard to track and report realtime resource utilization, capacity planning, and allocation conflicts.
  • Optimization Strategies:
  • Implement strategies such as crosstraining and flexible staffing solutions to optimize resource allocation in response to dynamic project and client needs.
  • Vendor Coordination:
  • Coordinate with external staffing vendors to address shortterm capacity gaps and fulfill longterm staffing requirements.
  • Performance Reviews and Process Improvement:
  • Conduct regular reviews with SI partners to assess project progress, resource performance, and identify opportunities for enhancing the resource management process.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management, resource planning, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and resource allocation strategies.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Excel for generating various reports and analyses.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Fluent in both English and French languages, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Proficiency in using resource management tools and software.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
