Our Social Media Specialist is a marketing professional and a total whiz when it comes to all things social media, specifically, flawlessly managing the day-to-day social platforms.

You take pride in planning, implementing, and monitoring our social media strategy to manage our reputation, increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts while building and nurturing our online community.

You are a social butterfly that thrives on engaging with the community, participating in and promoting events, coordinating and launching campaigns, and creating unique and engaging content across social media platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn.

You are tuned into emerging community forums like WhatsApp, WeChat, Slack, Discord and more and know where to build and harness the power of community.


Education & Expertise

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in social media management and content creation
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related discipline
  • Strong working knowledge of communication principles and practices
  • Communications and/or PR agency experience preferred
  • Must possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication with strong writing and editorial abilities
  • Demonstrated success with Social Media tools such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and others.
  • Digital advertising experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, internet, wire services, media monitoring software, and other public relation tools
  • Additional certifications or workshops relating to customer service are an asset
  • Proven experience working in customer service
  • Has the ability to be an influential communications consultant within the organization
  • Has the ability to work effectively in a team
  • CPR/First Aid certification (required to have a minimum of Emergency First Aid and CPR certification) required prior to start date and must be maintained throughout employment. CPR is to be renewed annually
  • All team members must provide a recent Criminal Background Check prior to commencement of training and/or work
