The Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel offers an upscale experience for many valued guests, and provides an equally thrilling experience to grow a career With 32,000 square feet of meeting and convention space and 390 premium guest rooms, our Associates are front and center of the hotel; driving all aspects of the business

Responsibilities

Greets guests warmly as they approach the hostess stand
Assesses the guest needs and seats them accordingly, ensuring all sections are seated equally
Ensures menus are presentable and clean
Answers the hostess phone within three rings and ensures all reservations are accurately inputted into the computer
Assists servers when necessary
Takes orders and payment for guests who choose to takeaway their meal
Takes ownership of guest complaints, finding creative ways to solve problems and followups with the guest
Performs other tasks assigned by management

Requirements:

Flexible availability required to work 3040 hours a week;
particularly 6:30am3pm and 2:30pm11pm shifts, weekends, stat holidays, morning, day, evening, as needed:
Is a friendly, energetic person who prides themselves on creating memorable guest experiences through warm & genuine service
Has previous Food & Beverage experience and/or customer service experience
Takes initiative and recognizes opportunities for success
Is of legal age to serve alcoholic beverage
Understands that success lies in working together and enjoys being part of a team
Gets excited by an energetic, fastpaced environment
Speaks fluent English. Additional languages to connect with international guests is an asset
