    Unit Secretary – Emergency Department – CVH

    In collaboration with nursing, other hospital staff and various community services provides clerical support to maintain a progressive and personalized healthcare environment.

  • Addressing and resolving issues in a productive, respectful manner.
  • Exercising sound professional judgment and using best practice guidelines.
  • Contributing to a safe, inclusive environment for all through compliance with patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
  • What must you have?

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Prior experience in an administrative/clerical role required, preferably within a healthcare environment.
  • Keyboarding skills (40 wpm).
  • Computer literacy in a Windows environment utilizing Word and Outlook.
  • What else do you bring?

  • Proven attendance record.

  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.

  • Preferably, your profile also includes:

  • EPIC, EPF, ESP experience.
  • Previous experience within the Unit Secretary classifcation.
