ABOUT THE ROLE
We are actively looking for an Intern Analyst, Tax, to join our team in Fall 2023, for a 4-month internship (September December This role will be part of our Corporate Finance team, reporting into the Senior Director, Tax. The incumbent will be responsible for helping support transactions and tax compliance.


This is a fantastic opportunity for an undergraduate or graduate student to gain valuable work experience in a fast-growing, dynamic environment while being a part of a new pension.


UPP is based in Toronto's financial district and has a hybrid work model (minimum 2 days / week in office).


SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assist in transaction tax support
  • Assist in the implementation of tax structures and/or strategies
  • Research technical tax issues and summarize findings
  • Monitor tax developments in key investing jurisdictions and communicate significant findings
  • Assist with tax compliance filings and processes

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Commerce, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering or related Masters' program
  • An interest in a CPA designation or Masters of Tax is a plus
