Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Supporting the administration of our compensation programs, including job descriptions, salary structures, and job evaluation.
  • Participating in salary surveys and benchmarking exercises to ensure our compensation programs remain competitive.
  • Working with current job evaluation tools to ensure that all roles are documented in the system and records are up to date and audited regularly.
  • Collaborating with HR team members to review and update job descriptions to reflect changing roles and responsibilities.
  • Conducting research on industry compensation trends, analyzing data, and preparing reports to support recommendations.
  • Supporting the communication and education of compensation policies and programs to employees.
  • Maintaining confidentiality with sensitive material

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Currently enrolled in a postsecondary coop program: Business Administration or Human Resources programs are preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), experience with Outlook is an asset
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to work with data and conduct research effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and followup are required
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and strong customer service orientation are essential
