Description

As a Business Development and Marketing Coordinator at Works Design, you will significantly impact our studio by supporting our pursuit of prospective clients and projects (e.g., pitch decks, long-form written proposals, project-specific client presentations), supporting our digital outreach (e.g., social media, digital marketing, blogs) and supporting our various promotional efforts (e.g., trends research).

What are your key accountabilities?

  • Targeting Great Opportunities: Following through on a business development strategy that aligns what we do well and what we enjoy doing with how our studio can meaningfully strengthen others' strategy, communication and impact
  • Winning Work: Coordinating the development of projectspecific proposals by gathering and drafting content and collaborating with colleagues on the design, production and final submissions
  • Increasing Outreach: Supporting the development and coordination of a marketing playbook that will improve global awareness of our studio, generate leads and enhance our reputation in design communications and sustainability
DO YOU NEED SPECIAL EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE?

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 12 years' experience coordinating business development in professional services
  • 12 years' experience coordinating corporate marketing and promotion
WHAT QUALITIES DO YOU NEED TO DO THIS JOB WELL?

  • A genuine passion for what we do i.e., corporate communications, digital strategy, branding, reporting and sustainability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to create engaging content for diverse audiences
  • An eye for detail and an aversion to cookiecutter solutions
  • Outstanding research, planning, project management and time management skills
  • Curiosity and the ability to collaborate in an inclusive and professional environment to deliver great work
  • Staying current remain aware of trends in our industry and where we can and should be shifting to deliver great work
WHAT WILL BE YOUR CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES?

  • Create and evaluate new leads and maintain our CRM database
  • Respond to proposals and pitch requests
  • Manage the proposal and pitch development process, including gathering and drafting the content and collaborating with colleagues on the design, production and final submissions
  • Prepare and support presentations to current and prospective clients
  • Support research initiatives in marketing and digital best practices
